Graphic Bible · Scene 3 of 3

A broad water flow winds across stony land among sparse low trees.
Artwork is an interpretation. The traveler, landscapes, unnamed trees, isolated seed insert, falling water and droplets are visual staging, not authenticated portraits, geography or botanical identity. The seed and water frames do not depict a causal seed-water mechanism or replace the selected seed with an apparatus alternative. North/west directions remain in Scripture without claiming mapped orientation. Selected water and dew are not replaced by a mist/vapor conjecture; raises is not given an invented physical mechanism. The printed critical treatments, continuation and exact notes remain separate. Disclosed journey, landscape and visual-word essay

Source edition: charles-1906-enoch

Selected edited-edition working text. Source review and these notes do not establish human-specialist, independent-manuscript or full-book certification.

Chapter and verse addresses follow the supplied selected-edition POB records. Each available verse is displayed once; artwork does not certify source completeness.

  • 28:1[a] Charles printed68 note4 identifies the wilderness term as an Aramaic loan. The sentence continues into verse2; no oracle wording is used to fill its source.
  • 28:2[a] The selected edited Ge’ez reads seed. Charles printed68 note6 discusses a problematic transmission and proposals involving mountain, plants, green growth or sown fields. None of those proposals is silently installed in the source or English.
  • 28:2[b] The selected print supplies a parenthesized and and brackets another and and above it. Those bracketed words are not added as unproblematic English here: their content and editorial status are disclosed in this note, while the unbracketed from above is retained. Printed68 note7 calls the bracketed above it an interpolation.
  • 28:3[a] The selected print readsሰረብ. “Flow” is a provisional contextual rendering: Dillmann1865 column345 gives a water-flow root and a related noun for cataracts or torrents, but this does not establish an exact lexical equivalent for every vowel of the selected form. Charles brackets the following relative expression as a gloss. He also marks water as corrupt in printed68 note19 and proposes mist or vapor; this translation retains water rather than that conjecture. The raises verb is edited with Greek assistance according to note18.
