Graphic Bible · Scene 2 of 3

Three open clefts in dark clouds send wind-driven snow across a frosted landscape.
Artwork is an interpretation of ancient vision language, not authenticated geography, portraits or atmospheric physics. The anonymous traveler, staff, terrain, vegetation, light and cloud-shaped openings are visual staging. Gates are not identified as real architectural structures or scientific weather mechanisms. God remains unpictured. The selected design/plan reading, overlapping winter-weather terms and corrupt repeated clause retain their exact Scripture and separate notes. Source edition: charles-1906-enoch

Selected edited-edition working text. Source review and these notes do not establish human-specialist, independent-manuscript or full-book certification.

Chapter and verse addresses follow the supplied selected-edition POB records. Each available verse is displayed once; artwork does not certify source completeness.

  • 34:1[a] Or a great counsel/plan. The selected main print readsምክረ; Dillmann1865 column200 gives counsel, plan and deliberation for this word. Charles printed74 note47 reports the differentመንክረ, wonder, supported lexically by Dillmann column668. That variant is noted but not adopted here; the familiar wonder rendering is not treated as the meaning of the selected main word.
  • 34:2[a] The repeated winter-weather words overlap in meaning rather than marking perfectly separate modern meteorological categories. Dillmann1865 column331 includes snow, frost, hail and ice among the senses ofአስሐትያ; column79 gives frost/snow forሐመዳ and quotes this verse’s list. Frost may therefore also be understood as ice here. The selected numeral is፩, one, not the prior OCR፪; the same-edition ordinary one comparand was inspected.
  • 34:3[a] Charles marks the repeated final clause with daggers as corrupt; printed75 note14 proposes a shorter reconstruction. This provisional literal English retains the selected repetition and the force/distress words rather than quietly installing that conjecture. The wording is not certified as a recovery of the lost original.
