Source edition: charles-1906-enoch
Selected edited-edition working text. Source review and these notes do not establish human-specialist, independent-manuscript or full-book certification.
Chapter and verse addresses follow the supplied selected-edition POB records. Each available verse is displayed once; artwork does not certify source completeness.
- 36:1[a] The printed edition marks “south” as corrupt here. Charles suggests that the underlying wording may have concerned moisture, or that “south” may have entered as a marginal explanation of “from there.” This translation retains the printed word rather than silently adopting either conjecture.
- 36:4[a] The selected edition prints “to spirits, and to humankind.” Its apparatus records other readings including “to the spirits of humankind.” These are variants reported by the editor, not independently inspected manuscripts.
