- 45:1[a] The relation of 'the name', 'the dwelling of the holy ones' and 'the Lord of Spirits' is awkward in the edited Ge'ez. The wording is retained rather than silently deleting the dwelling phrase or rewriting its relation to the name.
- 45:2[a] The Ge'ez pairs terms for affliction or oppression and distress; the two terms are preserved rather than reduced to a generic day of judgment.
- 45:3[a] The printed dagger marks 'choose' as corrupt. Charles 1906 printed page 85 note 21 proposes an underlying 'try/examine' through a Hebrew or Aramaic explanation. 'Choose' retains the printed Ge'ez rather than silently installing that reconstruction. The reconstruction is the editor's proposal, not an additional manuscript witness.
- 45:3[b] Literally, 'their rest, a number there is not.' The clause is separated from the preceding works phrase rather than made another object of 'choose'.
- 45:3[c] Dillmann’s 1865 lexicon, column383, cites this verse under approaching or appealing to someone in prayer or for help. “Called upon” follows that sense, not the separate accusation sense. The printed verse shifts from singular “my Chosen One” to plural “my chosen ones”; the shift is retained.
- 45:6[a] The selected text reads 'I have seen'; 'seen to/provided for' is a possible contextual interpretation, but this candidate does not silently substitute it. Charles records differing forms of this verb in printed page 86 note 1. Satisfaction is explicitly with peace, not an unstated object.
