  • 58:1[a] The selected text explicitly introduces the third parable, concerning both the righteous and the chosen. Neither the ordinal nor either group is omitted.
  • 58:2[a] The address is directly to you, righteous and chosen ones. Glorious retains the source adjective for their portion rather than silently changing the statement into a prediction.
  • 58:3[a] The selected text distinguishes light of the sun from light of everlasting life. It then denies an end to their days of life and a count of days to the holy ones. The last holy-ones clause is retained rather than clipped or folded into the previous noun.
  • 58:4[a] The first clause seeks light but finds righteousness; these are not silently made the same noun. The closing title is Lord of the world, whereas the preceding title is Lord of Spirits.
  • 58:5[a] The whole unit continues onto the next page. Portion of faith preserves the selected words without adding a lottery or a previously unmentioned recipient. The selected rising clause has an unnamed singular subject, rendered it in English; this unit does not print a light noun or securely identify that antecedent. It has risen like the sun upon dry land, and darkness has passed away.
  • 58:6[a] The first denial concerns light that cannot be counted, followed by a denial of a limit measured in days. The darkness verb is from asking or examination, not another occurrence of passed away. The two following light-standing clauses are both retained.

6There will be light that cannot be counted, and it will not be bounded by a number of days. For darkness was first examined, and light will stand firm before the Lord of Spirits. Upright light will stand firm for ever before the Lord of Spirits.
