Graphic Bible · Scene 6 of 13

Exodus 10:14-15. No green thing remained. Overwhelming locust swarm consumes what the hail left in an ancient Egyptian farm. Foreground a low fruit-tree branch is crowded with natural brown locusts eating the last leaves, their folded wings and long hind legs readable at real insect scale. Midground fields stripped nearly bare under dense moving swarm that dims the sky. At right by a mudbrick doorway, an Egyptian farmer and his wife in simple worn undyed linen watch with grief, one shielding eyes, other holding a bare broken twig. No graphic injury. Deep muted ochre and dusty blue-gray, expressive dignified faces, tactile ink and gouache, broad cinematic framing. No frogs, flies, hail, modern gear, Moses or Pharaoh, no lettering. A few last green leaf fragments only; vegetation otherwise stripped. Bronze Age Exodus setting, not first-century staging. One 16:9 single scene. No text or lettering.

14And the locusts came up over all the land of Egypt and settled in every territory of Egypt—an extremely severe swarm. never before had there been locusts like it, nor will there be again after it.

15And it covered the face of the whole land, so that the land was darkened; and it ate every plant of the land and all the fruit of the trees that the hail had left. No green thing remained on the trees or on the plants of the field in all the land of Egypt.
