Graphic Bible · Scene 9 of 13

Exodus 10:19-20. Carried into the sea. Wide environmental scene: a powerful west wind carries the locust swarm away from Egypt and out over the Sea of Reeds. Low sandy shore in foreground with bent dry reeds leaning toward the water, broad unbroken blue-gray sea under a clearing sky. A receding dense brown cloud of countless tiny locusts sweeps diagonally from inland left toward open water right, nearest few recognizable natural locust silhouettes, the swarm thinning over wind-ruffled water. Stripped branches on land, no green crops regenerated, no people or ships. The sea is NOT divided and there are no walls of water, only ordinary whitecaps driven by strong wind. Clear sense of removal, hand-inked painterly gouache and muted colors, no labels, lettering or deity. Bronze Age Exodus setting, not first-century staging. One 16:9 single scene. No text or lettering.
Artwork is an interpretation. Scripture is quoted from the People's Open Bible.
