Graphic Bible · Scene 1 of 4

Exodus 11:1-3. Ask your neighbors. Moses conveys instructions to a small group of Hebrew adults in a simple Egyptian mudbrick courtyard before departure. Moses at left, long white hair and beard, crimson mantle over cream robe, gnarled staff held upright, one hand making a restrained speaking gesture. Three unnamed listeners: a gray-bearded man in rough brown tunic, a middle-aged woman in muted ochre shawl and a younger adult man in undyed linen, all attentive and dignified, distinct faces. No silver or gold changes hands yet, no packed procession or deaths. Clay jars, reed mats and a shaded doorway, ordinary warm daylight. This accompanies the instructions to ask neighbors and the final-plague promise, not an invented miracle. Natural hands and anatomy, hand-inked gouache, no text or visible deity. Bronze Age Exodus setting, not first-century staging. One 16:9 single scene. No text or lettering.
Artwork is an interpretation. Scripture is quoted from the People's Open Bible.

1Then Yahweh said to Moses, “One more plague I will bring upon Pharaoh and upon Egypt. After that he will send you away from here. When he sends you away, he will surely drive you out completely from here.”

2Speak now in the hearing of the people, and let each man ask from his neighbor, and each woman from her neighbor, for articles of silver and articles of gold.

3And Yahweh gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and in the sight of the people.
