Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, I am raining bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day's portion each day, so that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.”

And on the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as what they gather day by day.

Then Moses and Aaron said to all the sons of Israel, “At evening you will know that Yahweh brought you out from the land of Egypt.”

And in the morning you will see the glory of Yahweh, because he has heard your grumblings against Yahweh. And what are we, that you grumble against us?

And Moses said, “When Yahweh gives you meat to eat in the evening and bread in the morning to the full, because Yahweh hears your grumblings that you are grumbling against him—what are we? Your grumblings are not against us, but against Yahweh.”
