Graphic Bible · Scene 5 of 14

Exodus 16:14-15. What is it?. At early dawn a kneeling Hebrew woman and man examine tiny pale frost-like flakes across the desert ground, one holds a small pinch in an open palm with a questioning look. Moses stands nearby explaining. Manna is tiny fine flakes, not whole bread loaves or popcorn, no snowdrifts. Bronze Age Exodus setting, not first-century staging. One 16:9 single scene. 14When the layer of dew had gone up, behold, on the surface of the wilderness was a fine, flaky thing, fine as frost on the ground.

15When the sons of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “It is the bread that Yahweh has given you to eat.”
