Open this scene in the reader →10For six years you shall sow your land and gather its produce.
But in the seventh year you shall let it rest and leave it alone, so that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave, the wild animals of the field may eat. You shall do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.
For six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall cease, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female servant and the sojourner may be refreshed.
In all that I have said to you, be careful; and the name of other gods you shall not mention—it shall not be heard on your lips.
Three times in the year you shall keep a feast to me.
You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. For seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in it you came out from Egypt. And no one shall appear before me empty-handed.
and the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors, of what you sow in the field; and the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in your labors from the field.
Three times in the year every male among you shall appear before the Lord Yahweh.
You shall not sacrifice the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened, and the fat of my feast shall not remain until morning.
The first of the firstfruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of Yahweh your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.
