You shall make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue.

Its opening for the head shall be in the middle of it; around its opening there shall be a woven edge, like the opening of a coat of mail, so that it may not be torn.

You shall make on its hem pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet yarn, all around its hem, with bells of gold between them all around.

a gold bell and a pomegranate, a gold bell and a pomegranate, around the hem of the robe all around.

It shall be on Aaron when he ministers, and its sound shall be heard when he goes into the Holy Place before Yahweh and when he comes out, so that he may not die.

And you shall make a plate of pure gold, and engrave on it, like the engravings of a seal: ‘Holy to Yahweh.’

And you shall put it on a cord of blue, and it shall be on the turban; it shall be at the front of the turban.

It shall be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron shall bear the iniquity of the holy things that the sons of Israel consecrate, for all the gifts of their holy things. It shall always be on his forehead, for acceptance for them before Yahweh.

You shall weave the tunic in checker work of fine linen, and you shall make a turban of fine linen, and you shall make a sash, the work of an embroiderer.

For Aaron’s sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make sashes for them, and you shall make caps for them, for glory and for beauty.

You shall clothe Aaron your brother and his sons with him, and you shall anoint them and ordain them and consecrate them, and they shall serve as priests to me.

And make for them linen undergarments to cover their naked flesh; they shall be from the hips to the thighs.

And they shall be on Aaron and on his sons when they enter the tent of meeting, or when they approach the altar to minister in the holy place, so that they may not bear guilt and die. It shall be a permanent statute for him and for his offspring after him.
