Moses: an old but vigorous man, long flowing white hair and a full white beard, deep-set resolute eyes, sun-weathered skin; wearing a white ankle-length robe under a crimson-red mantle-cape, holding a tall gnarled wooden staff. Prophetic, commanding stillness. Exodus 3:1-6. At Horeb in the wilderness, Moses stands barefoot on stony ground, removed sandals beside him, shielding his face with one hand toward a living thorn bush burning without being consumed. Wide single scene, bush on left and Moses on right, visible intact branches and leaves within golden flame, restrained rocky desert landscape. No human figure in the fire, no wings, no buildings. Bronze Age Exodus setting. 16:9 landscape single scene with one decisive focal action and clean edge space for responsive cropping. 1Moses was shepherding the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. He led the flock beyond the wilderness and came to the mountain of God, Horeb.

Then the angel of Yahweh appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of the bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.

Then Moses said, “Let me turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned up.”

When Yahweh saw that he had turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”

Then he said, “Do not come near here. Remove your sandals from your feet, because the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.
