Graphic Bible · Scene 1 of 11

Exodus 8:1-3. Frogs everywhere. Frogs invade an ordinary Egyptian home. Low close environmental view of many natural small green-brown frogs across the earthen floor, on a shallow pottery kneading bowl and a clay oven ledge. A plainly dressed Egyptian woman pulls her hands back from the dough in dismay; another adult lifts a woven basket and finds frogs underneath. Simple opaque off-white linen clothing, no royal costume or named characters. Mudbrick/plaster walls, modest pottery and breadmaking implements, daylight from doorway and warm hearth glow. Focus on several clearly drawn anatomically normal frogs with natural legs; others diminish into the background. No giant frogs, cartoon faces, gore, Pharaoh, Moses, Aaron or lettering. Hand-inked gouache, tactile grain and restrained halftone, single 16:9 scene. Bronze Age Exodus setting, not first-century staging. One 16:9 single scene. No text or lettering.
Artwork is an interpretation. Scripture is quoted from the People's Open Bible.

1Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the canals, and over the pools, and bring up the frogs over the land of Egypt.’”

2So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.

3And the magicians did the same by their secret arts, and they brought up the frogs over the land of Egypt.
