Graphic Bible · Scene 9 of 14

Young adult Moses walks away from the distant gate of an ancient Egyptian royal compound toward anonymous Hebrew laborers resting beside mudbrick work. His expression is resolved, his hands empty, no crown, jewels, magic or soldiers. Match the attached young-adult Moses reference exactly, not his elderly Exodus appearance.

Choosing solidarity

Faith before sight · Hebrews 11

Story guide: Moses refuses the status of Pharaoh’s household and chooses solidarity with God’s people. The image condenses his costly allegiance; Hebrews connects that choice with enduring as though seeing the invisible.

24By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,

25choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to have the temporary enjoyment of sin,

26He considered the reproach of Messiah greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward.

27By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger, for he endured as seeing the One who is invisible.
