The fortified city stands alone
Leviathan, the Vineyard, and the Great Trumpet · Isaiah 27
Open this scene in the reader →10For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and abandoned like the wilderness; there a calf grazes, and there it lies down and strips its branches bare.
11When its branches dry up, they are broken; women come and set them on fire. For this is a people without understanding; therefore its Maker will not have compassion on it, and the one who formed it will show it no favor.
