12Then the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, after Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

13Go and say to Hananiah, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD: You have broken wooden yoke-bars, but you have made iron yoke-bars in their place.’

14For thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel: I have put an iron yoke on the necks of all these nations, to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they shall serve him. I have also given him the beasts of the field.
