Now therefore, thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say, ‘It has been given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence’:

Behold, I am gathering them from all the lands where I drove them in my anger and in my wrath and in great indignation, and I will bring them back to this place and make them dwell in safety.

And they will be my people, and I will be their God.

And I will give them one heart and one way, so that they may fear me all their days, for their good and for the good of their children after them.

I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, so that they will not turn away from me.

I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and with all my soul.

For thus says Yahweh: Just as I brought on this people all this great disaster, so I will bring on them all the good that I am speaking concerning them.
