On the next day, John was standing there again, and two of his disciples were with him.

And looking at Jesus as he was walking, he says, “Look, the Lamb of God!”

And the two disciples heard him speaking, and they followed Jesus.

Then Jesus turned and, seeing them following, said to them, “What are you seeking?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which translated means Teacher), “where are you staying?”

He said to them, “Come, and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.

Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who had heard from John and followed him.

He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Messiah).

He brought him to Jesus. Looking at him, Jesus said, “You are Simon, the son of John; you will be called Cephas” (which is translated Peter).
