The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

And he found in the temple those selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting there.

And after making a whip out of cords, he drove them all out of the temple courts, including both the sheep and the cattle; and he poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned the tables.

And he said to those selling the doves, “Take these things away from here; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.”

His disciples remembered that it is written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”
