When Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.

And behold, a man named Jairus came, and he was a ruler of the synagogue; and falling at Jesus's feet, he begged him to come into his house,

because he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. And as he went, the crowds were pressing in on him.

And a woman who had been in a flow of blood for twelve years, and who had spent her whole livelihood on physicians, was not able to be healed by anyone,

Coming up behind him, she touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately her flow of blood stopped.

And Jesus said, “Who is the one who touched me?” And while everyone was denying it, Peter said, “Master, the crowds are hemming you in and pressing against you.”

But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I knew that power had gone out from me.”

And when the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came trembling, and falling down before him, declared before all the people why she had touched him and how she had been healed immediately.

But he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
