Jesus sent out these twelve, instructing them, saying, “Do not go on any road to the Gentiles, and do not enter a town of the Samaritans.”

but go instead to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

And as you go, proclaim, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven has drawn near.’

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received; freely give.

Do not acquire gold or silver or copper for your belts,

do not take a traveler's bag for the road, or two tunics, or sandals, or a staff; for the worker is worthy of his food.

Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy, and stay there until you leave.

As you enter the house, greet it.

And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.

And whoever does not receive you or listen to your words, as you go out of that house or that town, shake off the dust from your feet.

Truly I say to you, it will be more bearable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
