Open this scene in the reader →5So he sent messengers to Balaam son of Beor at Pethor, which is by the River, in the land of the sons of his people, to call him, saying, “Look, a people has come out of Egypt. Look, it has covered the face of the land, and it is dwelling opposite me.”
6So now, please come and curse this people for me, because they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I will be able to strike them and drive them out of the land, for I know that whoever you bless is blessed, and whoever you curse is cursed.
