Open this scene in the reader →5Reuben, the firstborn of Israel: the sons of Reuben: of Hanoch, the clan of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the clan of the Palluites.
from Hezron, the clan of the Hezronites; from Carmi, the clan of the Carmites.
These are the clans of the Reubenites, and those numbered from them were forty-three thousand seven hundred thirty.
And the sons of Pallu: Eliab.
And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. These are that Dathan and Abiram, the called ones of the congregation, who contended against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they contended against Yahweh.
and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and Korah, when the congregation died, when the fire consumed two hundred fifty men; and they became a warning sign.
But the sons of Korah did not die.
