Graphic Bible · Scene 22 of 36

An adult woman in profile holds a plain clay lamp against a dark painterly field.
Artwork is an interpretation. Scripture is quoted from the People's Open Bible.

Proverbs 8:22

Wisdom Calls, Gives Counsel, and Delights in the World · Proverbs 8

Story guide: The lamp and anonymous personification interpret Wisdom’s poetic priority; these are symbolic images, not objects before creation or a resolution of the debated verb.
