1And write to the angel of the church in Sardis: These things says the one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your works; you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

2Wake up, and strengthen what remains, which was about to die, for I have not found your works completed in the sight of my God.

3Therefore remember how you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. So if you do not stay awake, I will come like a thief, and you will certainly not know at what hour I will come upon you.
