Faith Comes by Hearing

Zeal, the Near Word, and Good News for All · Romans 10

Story guide: Disclosed visual essay. Calling depends on believing; believing depends on hearing; hearing depends on proclamation; proclamation depends on being sent. Though not all obey the good news, faith comes from hearing through the word of Messiah.

14How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without someone preaching?

15And how are they to proclaim unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”

16But not all obeyed the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”

17So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Messiah.
