Little Foxes

Rise Up and Come Away · Song of Songs 2

Story guide: The call to catch little foxes introduces something that threatens vineyards still in blossom. Notice the animals among the tender shoots: small disturbances can damage growth before fruit appears. In this love poem the vineyard can suggest a relationship needing care, though the verse does not identify a particular threat or speaker.
