Song of Songs 8:8

Our Little Sister

A Love Many Waters Cannot Quench · Song of Songs 8

Story guide: Plural speakers consider a younger sister's future when someone seeks her in marriage. Notice the adults discussing the question at the doorway; the younger sister is not shown. This change of voice introduces concern over her readiness, while the poem does not explicitly name each speaker or describe a decision already carried out.
