So I shepherded the flock doomed to slaughter, namely the afflicted of the flock. Then I took for myself two staffs; one I named Favor, and the other I named Union, and I shepherded the flock.

So I removed the three shepherds in one month, and my soul grew impatient with them, and their soul also loathed me.

So I said, “I will not shepherd you. Let the dying die, and let the perishing perish. And let those who remain each devour the flesh of the other.”

Then I took my staff Favor and cut it in two, to break my covenant that I had made with all the peoples.

So it was broken on that day, and thus the afflicted of the flock who were watching me knew that it was the word of Yahweh.
