Servants Who Plant and Water

Servants, Foundation, Temple, and No Boasting · 1 Corinthians 3

Story guide: Paul and Apollos are servants through whom people believed. One plants and another waters, but God gives growth; both share one purpose as fellow workers in God’s field and building.

5What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one.

6I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.

7So neither the one planting is anything, nor the one watering, but God who causes the growth.

8The one who plants and the one who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

9For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
