Graphic Bible · Scene 4 of 5

Exodus 7:21-25. Water they cannot drink. Aftermath of the first plague. The reference image is for the Nile LOCATION and COLOR only; remove every named figure from that reference. NEW scene: ordinary Egyptian families dig shallow holes in the sandy bank beside the blood-red river to seek drinking water. Foreground man in plain off-white kilt and simple headcloth kneels scooping sand by hand, a woman with plain linen shawl holds an EMPTY earthenware jar nearby; another worker uses a simple wooden digging tool. A few whole dead fish lie by the river edge, no wounds or gore. No clean water shown in the holes, since they are searching. Reed clumps, distant palms and small boats retain location continuity. NO Moses, Aaron, Pharaoh, royal headdresses, gold collars or staff miracle. Harsh afternoon light and weary expressions, one coherent 16:9 narrative illustration. Bronze Age Exodus setting, not first-century staging. One 16:9 single scene. No text or lettering.

21And the fish in the Nile died, and the Nile stank, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. And there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

22But the magicians of Egypt did the same by their secret arts, and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, just as Yahweh had spoken.

23Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and he did not take even this to heart.

24And all the Egyptians dug around the Nile for water to drink, because they could not drink from the water of the Nile.

25And seven days were fulfilled after Yahweh struck the Nile.
