Graphic Bible · Scene 4 of 12

Exodus 9:8-10. Soot toward heaven. In an open Egyptian palace courtyard, Moses throws a small handful of soot from a furnace upward toward the sky before Pharaoh. Moses is the focal actor at center-left, long white hair and beard, crimson mantle and cream robe; one hand just released a loose dark charcoal-gray dust cloud above his head, other hand holds gnarled staff. No glowing magic, flames or explosion. Aaron in indigo, short gray curls and rounded beard stands behind Moses with soot-darkened hands held low. Pharaoh in blue-and-gold nemes and white linen stands at the shaded ochre doorway right, visibly watching the upward soot. Exactly three main figures, open sky above, cylindrical painted Egyptian columns. Natural throwing pose and fingers, no visible deity or text. Early affliction moment, do not show graphic lesions. Bronze Age Exodus setting, not first-century staging. One 16:9 single scene. No text or lettering.

8Then Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron, “Take for yourselves handfuls of soot from a furnace, and let Moses throw it toward the sky before Pharaoh’s eyes.”

9And it will become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and it will become boils breaking out with blisters on man and on beast throughout all the land of Egypt.

10So they took soot from the kiln and stood before Pharaoh, and Moses threw it toward the sky, and it became boils with blisters breaking out on man and on beast.
