So the Jews were looking for him at the feast and were saying, “Where is that one?”
And there was much murmuring about him among the crowds. Some were saying, “He is good.” Others were saying, “No, on the contrary, he is misleading the crowd.”
Yet no one was speaking openly about him for fear of the Jews.
When the feast was already half over, Jesus went up into the temple and was teaching.
So the Jews were marveling, saying, “How does this man know letters without having studied?”
So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.”
If anyone wants to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God or whether I am speaking from myself.
The one who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of the one who sent him, this one is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
Did not Moses give you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law. Why are you seeking to kill me?
The crowd answered, “You have a demon. Who is seeking to kill you?”
Jesus answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all marvel.”
For this reason Moses has given you circumcision—not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers—and on the Sabbath you circumcise a man.
If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a whole man well on the Sabbath?
Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.
