Twin Fawns

A Locked Garden and Living Water · Song of Songs 4

Story guide: The beloved compares the woman's breasts with twin fawns grazing among lilies. Notice the animals together in the meadow: their pairing and gentle presence carry the intimate praise. The artwork shows the comparison itself, keeping the poem's tenderness visible without presenting the fawns as a separate episode.
