Song of Songs 4:8
From Lebanon
A Locked Garden and Living Water · Song of Songs 4
Story guide: The beloved invites the woman to come with him from Lebanon's high mountains. Notice the vast ridges and the distant predators: they make the named heights feel remote and formidable. The picture follows the invitation's geography without deciding whether the poem describes an actual journey or a symbolic distance between them.
