Desire and the Vineyards · Song of Songs 7

Story guide: The woman describes fragrant mandrakes and choice fruits stored for her beloved, new and old together. Notice the abundant baskets at the doorway. They give her words a sense of anticipation and generosity: her love is expressed through what she has prepared, without requiring an explanation of the plants' supposed powers.
