Graphic Bible · Scene 2 of 7

Exodus 4:6-9. A second sign. Medium close view of elder Moses at Horeb studying his restored left hand, drawn out from the fold of his cream robe, with wonder and relief. His raised left hand is ordinary healthy weathered brown skin matching his face, all five fingers natural, no wound, no white patch, no gore. His right hand holds the familiar gnarled staff again, now restored after the earlier sign. Preserve face and crimson mantle of reference 1. The bush glows far in the background left, same rocky Sinai setting and golden light as reference 2. Show the restored state in verse 7; the promised Nile-water sign is NOT enacted here. No other person or divine figure. Composition focused on his hand and thoughtful face, no collage. Bronze Age Exodus setting, not first-century staging. One 16:9 single scene. No text or lettering.
Artwork is an interpretation. Scripture is quoted from the People's Open Bible.

6Then Yahweh said to him again, “Please put your hand into your bosom.” So he put his hand into his bosom, and when he brought it out, behold, his hand was leprous, like snow.

7And he said, “Put your hand back into your bosom.” So he put his hand back into his bosom, and when he brought it out from his bosom, behold, it had returned like his flesh.

8And it will be, if they do not believe you and do not listen to the voice of the first sign, then they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

9And if they do not believe even these two signs and do not listen to your voice, then you shall take some of the water of the Nile and pour it on the dry ground, and the water that you take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.
