Graphic Bible · Scene 7 of 11

Exodus 8:16-19. Goshen set apart. Early morning beside the Nile, Moses confronts Pharaoh on a sandy bank before the swarm arrives. Exactly two main figures: elder Moses in crimson mantle and cream robe, long white hair and beard, gnarled staff in one hand, the other making a restrained speaking gesture; Pharaoh in established blue-and-gold nemes and white linen faces him with guarded posture. Reed clumps and palms, low cultivated bank, pale sunrise; a sliver of ordinary blue-brown river water behind reeds. This is a later warning, not the river-blood scene. No frogs, gnats or flies in this moment. No Aaron, modern structures, visible deity, glowing boundary, lettering. Medium-wide profile encounter, clear distinct faces and natural anatomy. Bronze Age Exodus setting, not first-century staging. One 16:9 single scene. No text or lettering.

16Then the LORD said to Moses, “Rise early in the morning and station yourself before Pharaoh. Look, he is going out to the water, and you shall say to him, ‘Thus says the LORD: Let my people go, so that they may serve me.’”

17For if you do not let my people go, behold, I am sending the swarm upon you, upon your servants, upon your people, and into your houses. The houses of Egypt will be filled with the swarm, and also the ground on which they are.

18But on that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, where my people dwell, so that no swarm will be there, in order that you may know that I am Yahweh in the midst of the land.

19And I will make a distinction between my people and your people. Tomorrow this sign will happen.
